As an efficient and high-precision automated stamping equipment, high-speed punch presses, when combined with precision hardware molds, feeding, and receiving equipment, form production lines. It is widely applied in motor stators and rotors, EI sheets, communication connectors, zippers, precision terminal spring pieces and other electronic components. It is an indispensable machine and equipment in modern industrial production. High-speed punch presses were born in the 1950s and have grown rapidly with the development of electronic computer technology, greatly promoting the industrialization of countries around the world. China's industrialization started relatively late, but through introduction, imitation and independent research and development, it had a relatively high starting point and reached a certain scale by the 21st century. How to choose a high-speed punch press has become a problem that enterprises must consider.

According to incomplete statistics, there are no less than 100 domestic manufacturers of high-speed punch presses, leaving people dazzled and at a loss for choice. So, exactly from which aspects should one start to ensure the selection of a reliable and applicable high-speed punch press brand? After years of analysis and understanding of China's stamping industry, the author believes that the following points should be paid attention to

First, focus on your own products and look towards the industry direction. Buyers should first have a thorough understanding of their products, recognizing their requirements for precision, quality and speed, and whether they are necessary. Then make an objective and reasonable prediction of the current situation of the industry. Otherwise, when the entire industry is using high-end punch presses for production, but you introduce low-end brands to save costs, the outcome can be imagined. Similarly, the products you produce have low requirements for punch presses to begin with and are unlikely to change in the foreseeable future. However, it is not appropriate for you to purchase a high-end punch press brand.

Second, position the brand of the punch press and define the region.​ Generally, the quality of punch press brands from Europe, America and Japan is the best, but their prices may be more than five times that of Chinese brands. Taiwan's industry started not late, but it still cannot compare with the above-mentioned countries. The price of good brands is generally 1.5 to 3 times that of domestic brands. In fact, not all high-speed charging systems abroad are of high quality and high standards. In their home countries, the quality varies as well. However, those that can be introduced to China are relatively the best among them.

Third, reputation within the industry is an important basis. Whether it's traditional advertising, emerging media promotion, or the persuasive words of salespeople, only users know the quality and service of a brand. According to advertising planning theory, every customer's experience with a product, whether good or bad, will be shared with at least thirty people. When you are preparing to purchase a high-speed punch press, you might as well seek some information from your friends in the same industry and ask them for some advice. Make judgments and choices based on your product positioning, quality requirements and price expectations.

Fourth, on-site investigation is indispensable. The market is flooded with all kinds of "professional punch press manufacturers", and there are thousands or tens of thousands of square meters of factories nearby and so on. In fact, they might just be a small workshop with a few workers, or they could just be an office of a certain brand near you, or even not an office at all. The launch of a high-speed punch press project involves a considerable amount of funds. Therefore, it is essential to visit the manufacturer for an inspection. Look at their workshop scale, production environment, production equipment, personnel quality, inspection procedures... A workshop doesn't necessarily have to be the larger the better, but it must be clean, organized and comfortable. No one believes that masterpieces can be made from a garbage dump. High-speed punch presses require high precision and good stability. This is not just empty talk but is the result of design, manufacturing and processing. The processing equipment used by punch press manufacturers determines the quality of their punch presses. Moreover, only sufficiently advanced testing instruments can measure the precision of punch press products; otherwise, their data are just guesses and downloaded from the Internet.

Five, check whether the punch press manufacturer has its own processing workshop. This is a problem that is relatively easy to be overlooked under the deliberate guidance of salespeople. Here, some people might doubt: As a punch press manufacturer, of course, it's fine to just assemble the finished punch presses. Do they have to make everything themselves? Of course not. Professional high-speed punch press manufacturers cannot produce switches, wires, bearings... Professional matters can only be done by professionals. However, a high-speed punch press has hundreds of non-standard spare parts, and the precision requirements and specification quantities of each manufacturer are different. This makes it extremely easy for the quality of spare parts provided by suppliers to be unstable, resulting in a low yield rate and a high return rate, which in turn affects the production and delivery cycle.

Six. Check whether the punch press manufacturer has professional maintenance personnel in the area. No mechanical manufacturer can guarantee that the machines they produce will never break down. Therefore, what customers should pay more attention to are: the frequency of faults occurring, whether the size of the faults is repairable, and the speed of the manufacturer's response to customer situations, etc. The attitude of maintenance service is important, but what's more crucial is the speed of maintenance response. If the maintenance personnel of the press factory are thousands of miles away from you, you might be held back by minor faults of the press.
