Metal stamping is a special process equipment used in cold stamping processing to turn materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products), which is called cold stamping die (commonly known as cold stamping die). Stamping is a pressure processing method in which, at room temperature, a die installed on a press is used to apply pressure to the material, causing it to separate or undergo plastic deformation, thereby obtaining the required parts. - Stamping die manufacturing

Stamping dies are indispensable process equipment in stamping production and are technology-intensive products. The quality, production efficiency and production cost of stamping parts are directly related to the design and manufacture of molds. The level of mold design and manufacturing technology is one of the important indicators to measure the manufacturing level of a country's products. To a large extent, it determines the quality, efficiency and the ability to develop new products of the products. - Stamping die manufacturing

The safety of metal stamping design

Structurally, efforts should be made to ensure the convenience of feeding, determining materials, discharging parts and cleaning up waste materials. For the processing of small parts, it is strictly prohibited for the operator's fingers, wrists or other parts of the body to extend into the mold area for operation. For the processing of large parts, if the operator must enter the mold with their hands, they should minimize the range of entry into the mold as much as possible, shorten the time that a certain part of the body stays in the mold, and clearly define the dangerous area of the mold, and be equipped with necessary protective measures and devices.

All parts on the mold should have sufficient strength and rigidity to prevent damage and deformation during use. The fastening parts should have anti-loosening measures to avoid accidental injury to the operator.

It is not allowed for waste materials or workpiece projectiles to occur during the design process of stamping dies, which may distract the operator's attention or even cause injury to the operator. In addition, it is necessary to avoid burrs on the blanking parts cutting hands. The operator is not allowed to have excessive movement range when performing stamping operations to avoid postures that cause the body to lose stability. Excessive and precise movements are not allowed during work. Strong noise and vibration during stamping processing should be avoided as much as possible. The mold design should indicate the weight of the mold on the general drawing to facilitate installation and ensure safety. For parts weighing over 20 kilograms, lifting and handling measures should be in place to reduce labor intensity. When installing or disassembling mold parts, it should be convenient and safe to avoid the possibility of pinching or cutting hands. The mold should be easy to disassemble and store.
